ABOUT ME

I am a writer based in Kansas City. After earning a BA in Anthropology from the University of Kansas, I lived in Okayama, Japan, for three years where I taught English as a second language at a middle school and three elementary schools through the JET Program. The three years I spent overseas changed my outlook on life and endowed me with a wealth of experience to draw from in my writing. I have since worked in public safety and higher education. I’m currently pursuing an MPA in Urban Policy and Administration at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

My hobbies include playing the guitar, traveling and hiking.
